Using a Sony TRV510 video camera with DV output to the HP ZV5450

Tried to disable the 1394 in the network section, that did not work,
then I tried to completely delete the 1394 connection in the network
section of windows xp, and that did not work. I don't know what else
I could try, been working on this for the better part of the day!!
rebooted, on/off with the camera.....nothing.
