I have a Sony DRU-510A in my desktop PC running XP Pro SP2. I used to burn
DVD for home video using TDK 4X DVD-R and Nero 6. Both the media and the
drive worked fine and I have successfully burnt about 50 DVD-R with them.
Recently, I have difficulty finding 4X TDK media in the market so I tried
the 8X TDK. But it failed. Nero said that there is "Power calibration
error".

I have download the latest (1.1a) firmware from Sony site and upgrade the
driver. But this didn't help. Is there any way to make the drive works with
8X TDK DVD-R? If not, what 8X DVD-R can I use (it is very difficult to find
4X media in the market now)?
