From Windows XP SP2, I connect and login to a Windows Server 2003 box. I
right-click on the desktop and for "Arrange Icons By" I uncheck all choices
except "Show Desktop Icons". I then arrange the icons on the desktop in a
certain manner. Then I log-off and disconnect.

Later, using the same account, I again logon to the Windows Server 2003 box
.... and my icons are all arranged randomly in columns against the left side
of the screen.
