when i open Computer in windows 7 it searches long for the hard drrives help me fix this please

mapped network drives and slow dvd/cd drives are common culprits

perhaps do a fresh install of windows

is ther a way 2 unmap it coz it was fine last night and all of a sudden 2 day it started doing it when i go into Computer it sumtimes shows the drives straight away then i refresh and the bars witch show how much space theres left on the drive disapears and when i refresh again all the drives disapear
