Pray for my machine

In the past week i have faught with my machine....and it has claimed its third victim....first my Maxtor drive crapped out. I figured it was no biggie because i bought it as a secondary drive to hold useless stuff...i knew it wasn't the best brand...and i got a 300GB drive for $60....hard to pass up. the 2nd was my onboard NIC....i figured it was no biggie because i have a backup NIC...so i put it in and went onward

ANYWAY...the 3rd victim.... BFG6800GT

I put my 3rd HDD in today and turned my computer on.....and everything turned on but my video card. So i removed to power to everything but the boot drive and 1 ram dimm...to check to see if it was power....Still nothing.

So i changed PSU's....still nothing...

S i put in my backup card MX440 And everythign worked....Hooked up all 3HHD's optical and both ram dimms and it worked.

put the BFG card back in and it lit up and started working BUT THEN when the screen came up it was just filled with artifacts and fuzzy crap.

So now i am using my MX440 and i have to get BFG to replace my card and hope that fixes everything.


I suspect my motherboard is eating everything....first the HDD, then my onboard NIC, now my video card....is either my mobo or PSU...i am goin to replace both when i can afford to do so.

Pray for my ailing computer.....

Well yeah it may kill it again....but its BFG card...i will just RAM it again...lol

I dont know what the problem is...i left my backup PSU in there for now just in case that was it. Its a 350w that came with my case

but its working now....I got the PSU i go now for very cheap, and i figured i would get something a little better when i got my 6800GT.

There is nothing wrong with the board in the traditional sense. Living with you has just depressed it and it has decided to commit suicide. Give it to someone else and watch it make a full recovery.

I thought BFG were offering lifetime warranties on their cards?
