copy to MPEG

Does anyone know of a program that will let you copy a DVD
to an mpeg file? I have Roxio EMC7 and using DVD copy
saves it as an ISO file. I need it as mpeg so I can edit it. This
is not a commercial dvd. I record off of satelite and edit when
finished. I have the dvd but lost the original mpeg file so would
like to make another one.

Well, to answer my own question I found a program called DVD Riper
that will do this. I guess I should have Googled before asking.
