Microphone issue

I want to conncet external microphone on my Canon MV-600i. It mus be on he
cabel some 3meters or so long so I need advice what to get (it has 3,5mm
stereo jack input). When I connect ordinary on cabel microphone sound is
very hissy? What is your advice for wired or even for wireless, or any other
advice. Maybe some link with products for that.

You can buy a cable like that: www.markertek.com
Their part number: XLF-H8-10 but the price is absurd.
Maybe you can find a better price in your country?

Or if you are handy with a soldering iron, you can make
your own for a fraction of that price. I have posted the
wiring diagrams on my website....

Please explain what you mean. Note that many of the
smaller camcorders have audio sections that aren't very good.

Ok thing is that that cabel could be thing what I am looking for. It says
that it eliminates hum, thats what I need to eliminate. Now i need to study
how to connect all up and to make it work.
