If your website is on the public internet, it would be helpful to
post the URL so we could check it.

It may be only coincidence that it seems to work only with
Explorer. There may be some other reason (like having the
right codec or player installed, etc.) it isn't working for the
Mac/Mozlla customers.

Hard to debug without details of the failure (like what the
error messages said, etc.)

> I have tried with QuickTime but dosen't work...

What does "doesn't work" mean? Even your MAC customer
couldn't play it? Seems odd.

> Witch format should i use...

Who is your audience? What player are they most likely to
have already installed?

This isn't exactly the most approprite newsgroup for your
question. Your question seems to be more of a web question
than a video one.

Thaks for your help...

You can see the page at this adress:
http://www.xtension.ca/Flash/Duo-Video.htm

If it's just a codex problem where i could find the good one?

My video page with the Quick Time dosent play, or start. (the mac
people can see the video) in both format

The audience is mostly people how need the service of the acrobat on
the site web. So I have some publicist, manager, circus administrator
etc. they need to see the performace to engage those guys. or they
want to see a part of the show to ask for more video (the complete
video will be send by post mail)

So I dont realy know the configuration of all I just want to one or
several link to be able to deserve PC and Mac users...

You seem to be using Frontpage to create your web pages. I do not know
if the other browsers support the frontpage extensions.

I am using Firefox browser and your video is simply ignored.

You will get a better answer by posting on a web site creation forum.

First, your file is 23 megabytes! It appears to be MPEG-1.
Unless all your customers are on high-speed connections,
you likely can't expect many of them to be patient enough
to deal with such a whopper.

It is so big that it is hard to say whether it is a codec problem
or not. Suggest creating a 20-second clip and post it on a test
page. See if people can play THAT. Then you can make the
differential diagnosis whether it is a codec problem, or if the
problem is related to the humongous size.

Gspot says that I have three different video codecs that will
play your file (plus Windows Media Player).

First you say "doesnt play" and then "mac people can see
the video". Please explain?

I can get QuickTime to play it (after spending 30 minutes
downloading it first on my 48K dialup). The video looks
fine, but the audio playback is very broken up with tiny,
random interruptions (dropouts). This could very well
be because of the huge size of the file.

Your video is very nice, but posting a 23MB file on a
website is just asking for trouble, IMHO. I would post
more stills, encode the video with more agressive
compression, and maybe break it up into 2 or 3 pieces.
You could still offer this 23MB version on a "click here"
link (as you have done, if I understand French). But I would
warn people how big the file is so they don't give up and
think their computer is broken while they are waiting for
23MB to download.

Also, forcing the movie to open in a window on the web
page, and specifying Windows Media Player, makes it
that much less available to people who aren't running
recent versions of Windows. If your prime audience are
"show folk", it may well be more Mac-oriented than MS
Windows.

I would offer smaller files on a clickable links (NOT auto-
play) in both WMV and MPEG-4 (QT) format
