LaserJet 4 Feed Setup

When I print to my LJ5 or LJ4Si set to Manual, the printer waits for me
to insert an envelope or other size paper and then it feeds WITHOUT
manual intervention. The LJ4 (the one I just got) does the same, except
that I have to press Online to get each envelope to feed.

The ideal operation on the LJ4 is,

1) Print an envelope to the MF tray.
2) If no envelope, printer waits.
3) When envelope inserted, prints automatically.
4) If envelope present, prints automatically.
5) No user intervention required.

The LJ4 is set for MF First. Can it be set to duplicate the LJ5
functionality?
