My printer is elongating the pictures. I can use Photoshop, crop my
pictures to 4 x 6 size at 240 dpi. Beautiful prints. But then I noticed
that my prints were not printing true. Had a nice full body shot of my son
this weekend. The picture on my monitor showed about .5 inch from bottom of
photo. The print came out, part of one foor wasn't even in the print. I
seupected my computer/software. So I put the CF card directly in the
printer. I tpreinted the distortion, but a little less. But still there.
I then searched the web for a perfect circle picture. Then I could see if
my monitor aspect was wrong. The circle looked perfectly round on my
computer. I created a new 4 x 6 @ 240dpi pjpg file, put the circle in it
and purposely aligned the circle to the bottom of the picture. I then put
the picture on the CF card, printed direct from the printer. Results: part
of the circle was cut off the picture. The circle was not round, but oval
in the vertical sense. It is the printer. Still waiting for a response
from HP.
Has anyone sles had this problem with this printer? Or any other printer?
Any ideas on the fix?
