having alot of trouble with WM2003

i just upgraded my ipaq 5455 to WM2003. And it keeps bugging me to put in
either a VPN entry or a modem entry. The problem is, that I don't have a
modem, and I don't use a VPN. I have just regular 802.11b wireless network
in my house that I use to connect to my DSL connection. How do I tell it
that?

Also, I noticed with this upgrade if I put the ipaq in standby with the wifi
on it won't let me turn the wifi on again (after bringing the ipaq out of
standby) until i do a soft rebooth.

help! i'm really getting sick of getting this notice. wasn't WM2003
supposed to make this easier?

Something is requesting a WORK resource and you have an internet
connection. Check your email settings. Anything that asks for a
non-fully qualified domain name will also cause this.
machine.companyname as opposed to machine.companyname.com for example.
Also, ActiveSync requires you to switch to WORK mode and will require
you to use a VPN if you are in INTERNET mode and try to do a remote
activesync. Check and see if AS is set to automatically sync
periodically in its options.

That I don't know. It shouldn't work like that and yours is the first
I've heard of that issue.
