It's been a long time since I've formatted anything, so I'm curious to see if things are still the same. I want to start with a completely fresh and new chalk board, as it were.
I have a custom laptop that did not originally come with an OS, so of course i have windows 7 OEM.
Is there any benefit to just say, going into DOS and "format C" (Does that even still work?) as opposed to just booting from my OEM CD and installing over the old OS or using the in windows advanced recovery re-installation option?
I don't want anything left over from this "life" to carry over to the next.
Thanks!
