run two sound cards?

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to run two sound cards on winxp. I
have a P4P800 DX
motherboard and it comes with a built in sound. I need a couple of extra
inputs, and was wondering if I could use the built in line in input. I have
a sound blaster live sound card installed and all its inputs are in use
right now.
I have installed the drivers for the built in sound but even with it set as
the default sound device I don't get any sound. In the bios the only options
for the built in sound is Auto and Disabled. In the auto mode I don't think
that it works with the SB Live installed.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply, Peter. You are right, the onboard sound is 5.1 but so
is my
SB Live. The reason I don't use the on board sound is because it only comes
with
3 plugs and the sb has more. I will also have to purchase a game port
module. The sb live card comes with one built on the card. I will have to
look into that.
