I was running Windows 98; but I upgraded to Windows XP really because Windows 98 is Windows for hell.

But!! When I upgraded the DVD drive quit playing DVDs.
Quick Time quit functioning (on certain occassions.)
And the screen began to do some flickering like it was changing it's resolutions in the middle of normal functions.

I'm thinking of reinstalling.

Does Microsoft put you through much when you're trying to reactivate?

If you want you can email me at Yahoo.com. My email's Muarck

Suggest that you run the upgrade test that is on the XP CD
to see what hardware and software needs to be updated to run
properly with XP.

Did you check for such problems before beginning the XP
upgrade? You probably can find updated drivers on-line.
You certainly may need to upgrade your CD/DVD burning
software and your video drivers too.

Yeah, I tried the upgrade test and I've got it all currently up-to-dae drivers and everything with Windows Update. I think I will try reinstalling everything, but thanks for the advice.
