hello all....i got a new cable modem, and at the back there are two slots once for a conectoin for a network card and the other USB. I was just wondering would it work if i connected one comp to the modem wif the Network card, and connected another comp to the modem wif using USB...would that effectvely allow me to use hte internet on both computers? thanx

I think it uses one or the other, but not both. Check the technical documentation of the modem.

peonyu asked the same question in this forum. Check out that post.
To get two different ip's you have to request and pay for it from your ISP.

You could get a hub or router if you want to hook up more then one PC to the Internet. I know it works with my DSL, and I'm pretty certain it will work with cable as well.
