I've said before, many times. If the "rich" want to pay more there is nice little box at the bottom the 1040 where they can "invest" as much as they want to into "growing the country".

Will is at Cannes and being interviewed about taxes. He is asked, would he be willing to pay more to help his country get control of its debt. He says "sure, absolutey i'd pay more if it helped my country". He is told that in France he would be paying 75% as opposed to 38% in the U.S. Will says "whoah, whoah, 75%? That's a little high, I mean, yeah, there needs to be line drawn, 75% is kind of steep, I'd have to think hard about that!"

Basic summary.

And some want the tax rates to escalate back to the Clinton era, not millionaires mind you, just some.
I saw something yesterday on the tube, they were talking about Europe, and its effect on us, and the question was asked, should austerity be given a try, or should they continue towards socialism.
There were dems and repubs in the panel, representatives for their groups.
What struck me was the honesty of the dem who said:
For Greece, they have no choice, theyve run out of money.

Wonder how long that road is for us, that can , well it can surely move further cant it?

The only way to truly go to socialism is to force a country into bankruptcy. Eventually, your millionaires will disappear and in the end you still have the same problem but all of your scapegoats are gone.
