Add/Remove Hardware Problem!

I have Windows XP, and here recently, I have had no
problems at all, until the last few days, when I go to
try to open my Add/Remove Hardware in my Control Panel,
It will not open. I have tried double Clicking it, and
right clicking, and selecting Open. Everything I have
tried, it will not open for nothing. When I click on it,
it will show the hour glass for a brief 2 seconds, and
that is it. I don't know what else to do, anyone have any
ideas!
