NF7-S won;t boot

No matter what I try I can't get a video signal on my new NF7-S mobo.
Powers up, red and green lights, fans spin, I can power on and off and
reboot. I switched memory sticks and dimm locations (using 3 and 2 with
a stick each currently). I switched ivdeo cards. I'm using an AMD 2600+
that posted in another system.

Help? Tried everything I can think of. It simply won't post no matter
what I try. I've built a lot of systems and never had this problem
before. Simply stumped.

Does it boot if you press the reset switch? Do you have your hard drive
jumpers set correctly?

Tried reset and nothing. Just rechecked everything again. Even when I
unplug both SATA drives it makes no difference. Jut won;t post and thus
nothing shows on the screen and no access to bios. AGP card is seated.
TI4400 didn't work either.

Either the bios is fried or something else is wrong with the mobo is the
only thing I can think of....

What type of memory (specifically, in detail), is it the high-performance
stuff, perhaps OCZ? If so, see my response to "deev", "Problem with NF7-S"
on 4/3.

Have you checked that the case studs at the bottom of your motherboard
are in their correct positions - in other words one of the studs is
not shorting out your M/B??

I know it's obvious but... is the monitor plugged in, turned on etc?

I had/have a similar issue. My monitor (envision 19") will not display
anything until the windows desktop loads. No BIOS post, no Boot options,
nothing until the desktop. took me 2 video cards and 2 motherboards before
I figured it out.

My adviceis to try another monitor if nothing else works.

I would take MB out of the case, and set it on something non
conductive. Then see if it posts.

I tried everything in the world including replacing the 350 watt PS with
a new Antec 480 True and it still wouldn't work. So I bought another
NF7-S mobo locally, plugged everything in and bingo! I't now works.

Moral to the story? Some mobo's are bad ouot of the box...never had one
before but this one was DOA.

What video card? I think the NF7-S doesn't suppport some of the very very
early AGP cards that required different voltage.

Just a thought.

if it didn't beeped w/o RAM and/or video, then it's dead BIOS :-]
