Wireless Optical Desktop for Bluetooth

Before considering purchasing this device i'd like to
find out a little more about it.

I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 with a bluetooth card
installed and the idea of a bluetooth mouse and keyboard
sounds excellent. However I am put off by the usb
tranceiver... is this necessary for the product to work?
or will it work with just my laptop's bluetooth card?

Requiring a usb device to plug in defeats the point
really or i'd just buy one of the many other wireless or
wired devices.

If anyone can help I would most appreciate it. Thanks
