Abit KV8-MAX3 /w Athlon 64 3000+ vs. Abit IC7 MAX3 /w P4 2..

Greetings,

I am about to build a new computer and the two following configurations
will run me $350... which combo is the best?

Abit KV8-MAX3 with a Athlon 64 3000+

Abit IC7 MAX3 with a Intel P4 2.8CG (800MHz)

I like the AMD setup but I'm not sure if this board supports dual
channel DDR... will it? I will run PC3200 400MHz memory (2X512) on
either configuration...

KV8 Max3 only supports up to DDR 400
IC7 Max3 supports Dual Channel DDR 400

I was thinking the same as you. I like the AMD setup better but would miss
the Dual Channel.
