Hi,
I tried to install an new HDD onto my XP, but it hasn't worked.
Thanks
Details
SATA0: (Bios set to Manual: SATA0): C (My XP boot disk) & D [OK] [disk2]
IDE0: FAT32 80G: disk with data that I can't read [disk0]
IDE1: Master: DVD-ROM: G [OK]
Slave: Other HDD: E [OK] [disk1]
When I opened disk management, I got a "no entry" icon next to disk0.
The only options I got were "Covert to dynamic disk", and "properties".
I converted it to a dynamic disk.
Although the disk is "ready" but it remains unallocated - unreadable. It seems I must create partitions and format this disk now. But, I need the data.
How can I get XP to read the data on the disk without formatting the disk first?
I reinstalled the disk back into my old win98, but it can't be read. (Because it's a dynamic disk.)
