This isn't a problem, I just don't know where else to put
it! What would you recomend to be the best soundcard for
MIDI. I've got a Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 Live! I was
told this is good for MIDI. Yeah it takes MIDI etc but
the MIDI sounds are bad and you can't use the full range
in Cubase. For example on Piano it has Grandpiano etc
then a sub menu with bright grand piano etc. No mater
wich one I choose its always the same grand piano. At
college this is much different and the sounds sound more
realist and have slight reverb on them. Mine sounds like
a cheap keyboard. Thanks for any help in advance!!

well......

this is an opion type question and it seems you are looking for a pro level soundcard with some good built in midi features.

for a bigger pool of musically oriented folks try

www.harmonycentral.com go to the link at the top for discussion groups then browse to the computer hardware forums and ask there for a more audio midi centric opinion of current hardware that may be of interest to you.

you could check out some cards in the meantime from terratec and hammerfall and egosys

also there are a new range of pro sampler cards from e-mu that have great features and a decent price and use the existing emulator sampler library as well as soundfonts
