Case/PSU: Antec 350W
Corsair RAM 512 I do believe
AMD Barton 2500+

Built this system for a friend of mine. Its been working great until today.
The machine just doesn't post, no system beeps, just power to the fans and
drives.
I had him reset the cmos the easy way(pull the jumper to pins2-3) and the
hard way(disconnect PSU/CMOS Batt./Move Jumper) and no go. Anyone got any
ideas? Or is RMA in order? How hard is it to RMA back to abit since this
machine is probably out of the 90 day bit offered by newegg.com.

Thanks for the info.

Have you checked voltages with a multimeter to make sure it isn't your
power supply at fault?

Have you checked that the heatsink is still pressed against the CPU (and
you did use thermal paste, right)?

Have you reseated the expansion cards, especially the video card (which
takes a bit more oomph than a PCI card to get past the 2nd indent in the
AGP slot)? Have you reseated the memory stick(s)?

Have you checked that all cables are secure? You might even try yanking
them and reseating them to ensure they are all the way on and to wipe
the contacts of oxide or dirt.

probably a power supply problem. Does it boot normally when you hit
the reset switch?
