Targus Cable II Cardbus w/Toshiba DVD/CD ROM problems

My system acknowledges that the DVD/CD ROM is installed when I'm at the office hooked to the docking station and the T-1 line, but when I'm at home on a lan line, it is not reconized. In "My Computer", at home, the only drive reconized is the "C" drive. Like I said the "E" drive is only reconized at work when attached to the docking station and the T-1 line. Anyone know why???????
