I have a pc with

WinXP+sp1
MB NF7-s (bios e driver updated)
CPU AMD Athlon 2800+ (core Barton)
RAM 2x512MB ValueRam 400mhz (KVR400X64C25/512)
Power Color ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128Mb (ATi Catalyst 4.3)
Adaptek 2904 (driver WinXP)

If I set the DDR to 333Mhz the system works fine, but if I try to set them
to 400Mhz (SPD 6/5). The system crash very soon.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

The ram can't handle the timings. Either relax the timings, or get
better memory.

1st off, why do u have the FSB dram ratio @ 6/5? Usually, nForce boards
really only cooperate, with that setting at 1:1 ... I keep mine at 6/6. U
could give that a try.

What revision is your board (I have a rev.2)? If I remember correctly, Rev.1
boards did not "officially" support 400 FSB.

Also, you may have to raise your DDR voltage ... this is something you do
very carefully, after reading up on it ... I have my DDR voltage at 2.9v.
and the chipset voltage @ 1.7v. (NF-7S / Barton 2500+ @ 11*209 / OCZ pc3500
2*256 BH5).

g'luck.
