I just wanted to see if anyone has run any high Mhz Ram on the NF7-S board.
I am currently running some Corair TwinX PC3200C2 on my NF7-S with a Barton
2500+ overclocked to 2.2ghz with a FSB of 400mhz. It's running fine but
l've been thinking of upgrading the ram and pushing the FSB up a bit. Has
anyone tried the Corsair Twinx 3700 or 4000?

I am a little surprised that your Corsair memory can't be pushed more than
400mhz. My Corsair XMS single stick of 512mb can be pushed with a FSB as
high as 220mhz, maybe higher but I didn't want to push it any further. The
memory timings were changed from 6.2.2.2 to 6.3.3.2 and the voltage
increased to both the chipset and memory. Even though the 220mhz FSB was
achieved it did nothing to performance that was worth pushing the components
to that level.
Are you sure that 3700 or 4000 memory (which could have slower SPD timings)
will really be worthwhile for the cost and very real possibility that the
board will not get to or beyond 220mhz with little difference noted....?
So I would think that there might be some more speed with your FSB or CPU
with the setup that you have already without investing any cash, or just
enjoy it as it is
