I truly thought this to be hilarious, if not a touch tragic.
Over the weekend multiple santas in Auckland, New Zealand, protested the 'commercialisation of Christmas' by going on a drunken, delinquent-style march through the city's streets. The 'Santas' goal was to heighten public awareness surrounding said commercialisation of the Christmas holiday and to disrupt, if possible, merchants from flagrantly profiting off the back of what should be a religious, and or, family holiday first and foremost.
As the old cliche goes: only in New Zealand!
P.S Alltaken was arrested in a Santa suit taking a drunken wizz out the front of a McDonalds franchise.
That is also happening here. Last weekend in New York. This weekend in Atlanta.
Basicall a bunch of drunk Santas walking the streets harrassing merchants.
Here it is called Santa Con.http://www.santacon.com
It was like that movie Jackass getting a bunch of copycats. Or when Fightclub was released and a bunch of those sprung up too. No doubt, the funny, but tragic movie 'Bad Santa' has inspired some this year to be boobs even if not relevant in this case.
Drunk people on the streets wearing santa hats in late December? Never.
Mate, I could definitely see you in a Santa's hat, Liverpool Members Shirt on, Front row at the BC, Stella in hand, some floozie with her mini-skirt up her clacker hanging off your shoulder...
