So here is my problem.

I have no idea why but i started up my computer and the
screen had this sort of blue look about it. when it got
to my desktop this was more obious as the whole screen
has a blue look about it. It is like putting a peice of
blue plastic over my monitor. Any suggestions?

Hi

RGB could be out of synch. Try adjusting the OSD to see if that helps.
Failing that - uninstall/reinstall your graphics drivers.
