How come my XP won't accept the H/P photosmart software. When I try to install it my machine tells me to stop as it may wreck my system. It worked before then quit. What gives?

It worked before and then quit. You get a message to NOT install it as it
may harm your system. How much more information do you need?????

You have to COMPLETELY uninstall the software first. (Which in my case meant
hunting down and getting rid of references to it in the Registry.)
Photosmart is an extremely invasive program. Your best bet is to uninstall
it and then roll back to a restore point made before it was first installed.
This may or may not be possible in your case. It wasn't in mine, hence the
"search & destroy" mission.
