I am having a lot of trouble with my DVD drive not reading movies well.
Two independent sources have pointed at the NVidia nforce2 ATA drivers.

The drivers I am currently using report back as (v. 2.6)

Anybody know what alternative drivers (other than pio) would work with
this mobo (and, preferably, where I might get them from)?

cheers, -Peter

Hi Peter -

The default Microsoft IDE drivers work fine with the NF7 boards. You can
use the Advanced option in Device Manager to select them for your IDE
controllers .. select the option to show all compatible drivers. They're
part of the default Windows installation (no need to go looking).

Right now I'm using the nvidia decoder w/6800 for playback. To eliminate
an occasional stutter, I set the priority to high on wmp. I'm still
using nforce v2.6
