Hi to all
i'would update all my system, so i pick up drivers from Builders. On Abit
site, i've downloaded all for the BE7-Raid Mobo, in Raid controlleur HTP
370, you find Driver rev 2.351 and the Bios rev 2.351 also. When you read
the readme file, it says that bios is not for "onboard" controlleur, please
refer to hardware vendor :
"To update BIOS for onboard HPT3xx controller, please refer to your
mainboard manual or contact the hardware vendor for updating BIOS."

What does it mean, they deliver Bios not compatible with my Mobo, or i can
flash it ? If i can't, can i use last drivers with my old Bios ?
My Mb is :
Identifiant de la carte mère 03/27/2003-i845PE-W83627-6A69VA1RC-DP with last
bios availlable on Abit Site
Drivers version from HTP 372 is 232 1/07/2002, no idea about Bios version
Can you explain to me what to do ?
Thanks for reply, have a good day

there is only one way to update the Highpoint bios for a Highpoint
controller built onto an Abit board and that is by reflashing the mainboard
bios with a bios file that contains the desired Highpoint bios code embedded
into it.

most of the driver sets that were released by Highpoint also contained a
matching bios for the driver set so that someone with an add-in PCI version
of a Highpoint controller could update the bios on that board and run the
matching drivers. with Highpoint controllers onboard Abit mobo's, you need
to flash the mainboard bios as mentioned above, which will update the
Highpoint bios as well, assuming a newer version of Highpoint bios is
contained in the mainboard bios file.

there are a number of "unofficial" Abit bios sets with 2.351 Highpoint bios
in them floating around out there... I have some on my FTP site that is
currently down but if you tell me the mainboard bios version you are after
(last two characters of the bios string on the lower left of the screen), I
can probably forward a file to you via email.

contact me on email if you want to proceed further...

Thanks :-)
I've already proced like this some time ago for exactly the same thing on a
Abit BE6-2, it works fine since i flash it with your Unofficial Bios
Talking of this, i'm looking for a P3 Coppermine 1GHz or 1.1Ghz, i can't
fine one in France with FSB 100Mhz ( on E-Bay, it's only 133FSB) , if
someone as one and want to sell it ?
I'll check my bios number and contact you
Thanks for your reply and have a good day :-)
