Samsung today said that it is the main supplier of the graphics memory for Microsoft's recently launched game console Xbox 360. Running at 700 MHz, the 512 Mbit GDDR3 memory, organized in a 16 Mbit x 32 configuration, is rated at a bandwidth of 5.6 GByte per second, which is about 3.5 times faster than the memory used in the original Xbox, Samsung said. I have 1 GIG of RAM, Two 512 sticks. I Just added One 1 GIG Stick, My
system only shows 1.5 Gig, Why? I checked my RAM It's all good. Maybe, do
I have to get another 1Gig for the last bank? Do I have to install them in
pairs? But I tried each stick in my system by themselves and my system show
the correct memory size.

According to the manual for your motherboard, if you are using single
channel sticks you can use 2 sticks which must go in DIMM slots 1 and 3.

If you are using dual channel sticks they must be matched pairs (maximum
of two pairs), a matched pair going in DIMM slot 1 and 2 or 3 and 4.

Quote:
To reach the performance of Dual Channel DDR, the following rules must
be obeyed:
When installing TWO DIMM modules: Install DIMM modules of the same type
and size for slots [DIMM1]+[DIMM2] or slots [DIMM3]+[DIMM4].
When installing FOUR DIMM modules: Install DIMM modules of the same type
and size for slots [DIMM1]+[DIMM2], and slots [DIMM3]+[DIMM4].

I suspect you have single channel sticks and only the contents slots 1
and 3 are being recognised.
