Networking with acer veriton 5500

Just like to what should i do in order to make my 2 acer veriton network work. It has a onboard Intel Pro/100 VE network connection, it is working but, both unit sends packets but does not recieved or i cannot see the other computer in my network places and vice-versa. I have check knowledge base article - 318030 and make use of the procedure but to no avail.
