Windows 8 won't boot in RAID after Intel RST (For Intel SRT)

I've now managed to boot into windows. I'm just having trouble with Intel RST.

I get this message when I try to open RST 'An unknown error occurred while running this application. If the problem persists, please restart your computer or reinstall the application'.

Please ensure you have the latest bios for your board.

You did the registry trick to get it to swap from AHCI to RAID right?

I did change the registry yes but if you know the procedure could you please run it by me in case I missed anything? I'll update the BIOS now if necessary.

It was just a swap of iaStor to 3 and iaStorV to 0 or something like that. I went the other way RAID to AHCI after i swapped to SSD's from HDD + SRT.

I mention the bios because Asus(I would guess its the same for all boards) says to get the latest bios before using the newer versions of RST for SRT.

Updates bios to latest version but still getting same error with RST!

Strange. did you download it from Intel or the motherboard makers site?
