How do I change the MS XP home restriction in changing the region lock on
the
hardware a max of 5 times.

Can I make this unlimited?
Why did MS do this when the software exists to play multi region''?

Thanks

This IS NOT done by Microsoft. Find out who causes the problem before you
spout off!

Direct your anger at the movie studios who forced the DVD manufacturers to
go along with this injustice!

DVD drives have firmware that locks them to a region.. take a look at this
page and learn.. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_utility.php and quit from blaming
MS for their OS.. they are NOT responsible for hardware, drivers for
hardware, or any other quirks that some hardware may exihibit..

DVD region codes are developed and designed to permit the publishers of movies to release them as and where they wish and at pricing that may not reflect the same in any other countries.

This practice was deemed restrictive and anti comptetitive in Australia.

Thus for those DVD Players designed to connect to TV or Multimedia region coding has been withdrawn.

Unfortunately this has not flowed over to DVD Software polayers installed on PCs.
