No, by all accounts it's very very good! In your post you say it has the RTM version, this is not a paid for retail or OEM copy. MS have announced that they will be killing no registered copies, it's all over the net at the moment. Your friends installed a copy legitimately that was part of the testing phase, not the actual release, it's just that now it's past the time you should still be using it.

I can supply you an original cracked copy via a friend in merseyside.

Weird - The i5 750 processor surely doesnt use motherboards which use 3Gb kits of triple channel memory. That sounds fishy.

Overall though I would say that 450 is a good price.

I'd have to agree with Ricky - either this friend of yours has got his information wrong or he's trying to blind you with numbers.

Socket 1156 motherboards ONLY use dual-channel memory so the RAM sounds suspect - you can do dual-channel 3GB with 2x1GB and 1x512MB but you don't usually see DDR3 kits come in 2x 512MB.

£450 isn't bad though if everything's above board, but you will need to buy Windows 7 - the RTM version is for testing only, and although it won't expire like the RC did it will need activating to be legal, and only developers and MSDN subscribers can legally activate it.

I think we should petition for Wingding to work at Microsoft, they'd secure their holes pretty darn quickly then ;)
