I have a devise called The Amazing Box. It is for sewing machine embroidery. It is a plug and play and then I can download sewing designs from the computer to the box and save them on a card that fits into my sewing machine and then put the card into my sewing machine and sew the designs. It has been working fine for 6 months but now it says "One of the USB devices attached to the computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it"

Delete it with device manager and reinstall it.

This is a power problem, the current being drawn from the USB port is
greater than it can deliver, buy a powered USB hub.

works for months.

An idea ???
