Connecting an ETX125 telescope

I am trying to operate a Meade ETX125 telescope,using "Autostar Suite" software and a Lunar Planetary imager. My IBM G40 will not install this device. I suspect there is some kind of com port conflict. Does anyone have experience with this situation? Can you make any suggestions?

Did the Meade telescope come with software? Did you install
the software first?
