Hello,

I'm trying to connect the HDD light of my new "computer box" to my P3B-F
connectors.

I tryed to connect it to the pins indicated into the user guide but it
doesn't work. Even if I flip the connectors.

It seems to me that I had the same problem w/ my old computer box and that
the connectors are not exactly the one listed in the user guide. But this
time I can't help remembering the correct pins.

Thank you in advance.

Laurent.

I have an Asus A7N8X. It is the first board I've owned that didn't
have the IDE LED locates on the "block" that all the other leads
connect to (speaker, power, reset, etc.). There was a mark on the
block for the LED but there is a separate location for the LED just as
it appears for your board. See the link for a diagram of your board -
have you connected the lead to the IDE LED location in diagram?

There are 3 rows of header pins. Facing the board with the back panel at
the left and ISA slot at the bottom, the HD LED attaches to the lowest row.
Connect the plug so the white wire is on the third pin from the left and the
orange or red wire on the fourth pin.
