XP recognizes PNP hardware incorrectly

I have Win XP Pro installed on a laptop. I inserted a
Belkin FD5020 network card and Windows recognizes it as a
generic memory card. If I try to install the drivers for
the network card, it still doesn't work.

you need to update the drivers
