Hello All,
I have developed a USB device for my company, which consists of a USB
hub with an embedded HID device. The HID device behaves as if it is
attached to the 5th port of the USB hub, and is just used for
receiving data from the host. The problem with the device is that it
would consistently fail the enumeration test section of the USB-IF
chapter 9 tests, although otherwise it performs its function
correctly.
Also, I have come across a problem in that the first time this device
is plugged in to a host system running windows XP, a "There was a
problem during installation" message would be shown. However,
apparently the device would still operate as according to our
firmware.
I was wondering if anybody could offer us any advice on why the
enumeration test section would fail, and whether it could be the
reason which is causing the error message to occur in windows XP?
