TT3 makes iPAQ2215 crawl on using GPS

I had to do a restore after my iPAQ 2215 resetted itself. But, after
that restore, the machine would not come up again; it stops when the
blue bar is completely on the right during reset.
After some investigation I now know this is because the GPS driver
starts right then.
So, not using the driver does work. But, as soon as I try to open TT3,
it virtually stops my machine (even though I did not restore the GPS
drivers)
This means I cannot use TT3 anymore. I know this is not a problem of
the machine, because when I hard reset and install TT3 with GPS, it
all works.
So, do you have any suggestions I can try, except uninstalling the
driver and install it again? (I tried that)

You say it works if you hard reset and install TT3 with GPS? So at what
point does it cease to work? What ROM Version do you have on the 2210 and
what storage card do you have for maps, CF or SD and Make?

FWIW I run TTN3 on my 2210, Rom Rev 1.10, TTN3.01 and GPS v2.07 and it's
fine.

Sorry I did not respond as quickly as I wanted...

I use TT3, 2215 Rom rev. 1.10, all same stuff as you do. I install the
GPS to ram, after it did not work om SD card.

It all happened after a hard reset and a restore with Sprite software.
They admit it might be due to the fact that the registry is backupped
and restored in alphabetical order, while the next version restores in
the order of creation.
Maybe this is causing the problem: a driver is loaded in the wrong
order. But, how on earth can I test it?

Can you do a hard reset and just install TTNav? If so does it run normally?

As you already said, I can. TT3 itself is no problem; it's the GPS
driver (or whatever wants to use the port)

What revision level are you using for TTNav and the GPS? v3.03 for both app
and GPS was released last week, see http://tinyurl.com/2u537

Thanks! I'll try the update.

Cross my fingers - I hope I do not have to install the 'old' GPS
driver again
