ISSUE
=====
Is there a product, which allows AUTOMATIC (no user intervention or
computer errors/messages) USB (or parallel) sharing of a HP DeskJet
printer, between two computers (WinXP & Win2k)?
NOTE: These notebooks ARE networked together BUT one uses the Cisco
VPN client (WHICH DISABLES LOCAL NETWORKING WHILE CONNECTED, PERIOD).
I want to still be able to print while connected via VPN. I could (but
prefer not to)...
-buy a 2nd printer
-connect the printer to Notebook #1 (see below) but then Notebook #2
can't print
-buy a MANUAL printer switch box (not the best option)
==========
BACKGROUND
==========
Notebook #1: WinXP (with Cisco VPN client)
Notebook #2: Win2k (HP DeskJet printer via parallel)
HP DeskJet Printer: Parallel or USB (NOT BOTH AT THE SAME TIME -
already tried this)
