I have installed a USb Mass Storage device on my laptop
on Windows XP where it works perfectly. On my desk top it
installs but when I follow the Safely remove Hardware
process from the System tray , the devicce manager hangs
and the entire machine grinds to a halt. I then have to
do a System restore to get it working again. Both
machines are running XP and using the same version of The
USBSTOR.sys driver. I've looked on the knowledge base but
can't find anything specific. Any ideas?
