I got a Canon BJC-4400. I've replaced the print head probably about 4 times
in it's better days. I used canon ink and 3rd party ink, which I never had
any more trouble with than the canon ink. One head was replaced after just
using canon ink alone after about 4 months. So, I doubt the ink is the whole
story here.
Problem. I was able to clean a head once and it worked well for a while.
Then it quit. NONE of the spares I kept worked even if cleaned. OK, so I
went and bought a brand new head complete with cartridges. Put it in and
still nothing. What gives? Any one have any ideas I can follow up on to get
this thing working? I have 2 other printers which work well, but this bad
boy was a real work horse for me. Maybe that is what the problem is, I beat
the hell out of it and it did die! It comes on, it does - I believe all the
actions - except print anything, including a test pattern. I don't get a
drop of ink out if this thing now.
TIA for the answers. PLEASE, reply directly. I may not get to this room in a
while.
