I'm trying to get Real Myst to run with my Kyro 2 board. Hercules 4500.
It's been known that Real Myst can be picky with the Kyro chip and it still is with the Kyro 2.
Can anyone help me get it running?
When loading Real Myst it kicks me out before it even gets to loading the game. The screen resizes for the resolution chosen, it goes black and then I'm kicked back to the desktop at the selected resolution. Doing anything else results in an illegal operation in the PMX2HAL.DLL driver (drivers for the Kyro).
Also, with the new card, I can no longer test AGP texturing in DXDIAG. It says it is unavailable. I get this un the dialog box:
"The file pmx2.drv is uncertified, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs. You may be able to get a certified driver from the manufacturer of the hardware device."
Is this just the famous DX 8 and Kyro 2 issue?
Could it be my VIA 4 in 1 drivers? (I'm abotu 2 versions old).
