I've just come off a 48 hour bender that would leave most 6 feet under. I watched a friend lose his girlfriend of 3 years when he decided, albeit stupidly, to get it on with some other broad at the beach; I watched a 35 min fireworks extravaganza that left all with a warm and fuzzy feeling, yet anyone with half a pineapple in their noggin would know that the expense of the fireworks could have fed a small third world nation for a month; I saw brawls between drunken teenagers - and catfights between their girlfriends; there was an endless array of empty pints sitting in front of me and one of the lads lost his Rolex that he just got for Christmas; another of the lads met a nice chick and got it on; I went skinny dipping in the Pacific with my mates and a few chicks and we sat on the beach and watched the sun come up...

But all the ups and downs aside, I had a rip roaring time and anyone with a smile on their face saw the New Year in good style and good humour, I'm sure.

Anyone with some groovy stories about New Year?

Glad you had a good one. Mine sucked as have the last 4. I did have a good time at work this last week. The contractor that I sub for hired a new secretary and we were bumping uglys the next night :D

I had a good New Years Eve last night... We watched the Grand Kids so their parents could go out... Drank a good quanity of Coors though, just to usher in the New Year.......

Got up about an hour ago. I'm absolutely shattered. Got to bed about 4am. Intended to go out for about 2hrs. Got home about 2am. Where did I go? My mom's. My aunt and uncle were staying overnight, and they're a good laugh, so we said we'd pop round for a couple of hours. Stayed 6. By the time we left, we'd emptied 4 champagne bottles and 5 bottles of wine. Hit the John Daniels when i got home, finished that off and went to bed. My head is pounding and I feel like an extra from Dawn Of The Dead. Fu[b][/b]cking top night, and I was all set for a quiet one in.

You're not wrong mate, I'm off round the in-laws in half an hour, and I'm off for a few jars with my father-in-law. Should get me sorted out, or passed out on the floor of the rub-a-dub. :?

Everyone is coming over today. One of my neighbors invited us over for drinks during the football game... I'll get going today for sure......

No beach, very similar here. Party still going on at my yard. Came back at 05:00 with half a club and just carried on. Just taking a quick break, then back at it.

Rented out a Wyndham hotel room with 5 friends and drank like fish. Happened to have 4 women in the room next to us doing the exact same thing. Free shuttle ride at 9pm over to www.sintoledo.com (the pictures suck though, don't see the good views, sausagefest/cockfest). Drank away at that place. Ended up meeting one of the guys who owns part of the waterfront and he had a huge party going on. Out on the dance floor had a few ladies dancing.. I managed to keep the one around that I wanted. Didn't see much of the ball drop because of all the stuff going on in the club. Pulled out of there about 2:30, got a free ride in an H2 around to different parties. I had sobered up since dancing and headed back to the hotel room. Ended up having 3 hotel rooms all full of people, spilling out into the hallway. Took off there about 5am. Crashed, got up, hit Buffalo Wild Wings at 12:30pm, drank some more, rented out a room in the French Quarters Holiday Inn.. sat in a hot tub and sauna, drinking like fools.. Finished up the night about 12:30am when I passed out. My friends called it a night about 2:30..
Somewhere along the way someone grabbed my camera phone and took random pictures of girls and stuff, which I'm not complaining about. I'm told I took a few but I don't remember any of this.

Turned out awesome aside from the couple hours I wasted sleeping.. Total expense for all the alcohol I bought and shots, $170 in 2 days. Good times. That doesn't include any alcohol we had in the hotel room since I didn't have to buy it.

Good times.. best New Years I've had yet. Nothing like having all your friends together again and then some.

I got into a fist fight with the bouncer just after he said the bar was closed.
