Im running XP Home and have a CD - RW drive. Previously I
was able to drag and drop files on to the drive when it
contained a CD-R / CD-RW. Now I cannot. The drive still
works as I can still burn if I use specialist software
but this is very inconvenient.

I thought that I right clicked on the drive in My
computer and enabled CD writing but there is no option
any more.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Previous to what, installing XP? If yes, this is known as
packet writing and XP does not support that function natively. This
requires third party software such as the Direct CD component of Easy CD
Creator, www.roxio.com or the InCD component of Nero, www.nero.com.

Check the web sites for version compatibility with XP as well as compatible
CD-Writers.
