My computer came with built in media readers. I use a
Compact Flash card with my Digital camera.
2 weeks ago I plugged it in and XP recognized it immediatly
- went right to "Picture & Fax Viewer"(I think).
Today I plugged in the card and nothing happend. The
indicator light on the card reader blinks. The "Safely
Remove Hardware" icon showed up the task bar.
I tried to view the card in Explorer but It stalls with the
hourglass for a couple of minutes then does not recognize it.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Uninstall it with device manager, reboot.

Look at it in My Computer, if it shows up there, right click
on it and select properties to see what program it is
assigned to, you should be able to read it as a drive.
