We are on the edge of a nuclear crisis. There may be no turning back. Most people will blow this off and forget about it, but this year could prove to be our most trying. The Drudge report has some disturbing headlines for this first day of the New Year.
PAPER: 'United States planning a military strike against Iran'...
Iran President: Israel Completed Holocaust
TAIWAN TURNS A COLD SHOULDER TO MAINLAND CHINA...
'We have to assume the North Koreans can and have made a few nuclear devices'...
Israel has already given Sharon the go ahead to strike Iran if need be as early as March. The USA is facing serious issues regarding North Korea and Iran. The Koreans have nuclear capability and Iran will have within the next few months. North Korea has shut its doors to the Untied nations food program and has expelled all of the aid workers from its borders. People were already starving now what will they do. North Korea as well as Iran would gladly supply anyone that was willing to strike th US with Nuclear Weapons. China would love to see us weakened and is preparing to defend its claim to Taiwan. Russia is moving towards helping Iran with its nuclear program. We all need to be more aware and serious about the problems that we are about to face.
While tea may be grown in China, it's often driven to the processing location. Fuel prices affect Tea prices in China just as easily as they would Wheat prices in the U.S.
A well made point, but it's a con. Can you imagine going to buy a few ounces of weed only to be told it's price has increased as "Transport costs are affecting the cost of weed". Don't think so. Maybe the tea and wheat industry could both learn something here.
Of course the cheaper something is, the more a factor shipping is. With an ounce of weed at $100, the supplier can swallow a $3 swing in transportational cost. But if an ounce of tea cost $0.30, adding $0.03 means a 10% increase in cost!
You were offended by my statement? It was just an observation I guess that's why the forum is here, to post in.
When you came back, we were about equal in post count 8O
A tad of information now and then would help me enjoy the forum more like it used to. A personal observation with regard to the posting content of the other lately, not specifically targetted at you. Feel free to dismember my opinion (or me, whichever you prefer).
Fire up a discussion about the latest on Sharon's situation and what this will mean for the region in the near future? Go right ahead and I'll join you in a minute, could take a little bit more as I'm about to get into my car, drive home and have dinner.
That's just an example of course. The topic should actually be of interest to you or else debating it would get silly too quickly.
He survived.. I don't know how much I like him because he seems to be heavily into revenge and I think he's not going over so well with the region because of going up against Arafat. Maybe it's time a new leader steps up to work with Abbas and that hasn't created so much hate with the Palestinians?
Two new leaders to do it, but apparently Abbas really doesn't seem in control. Those people know nothing but war and now they're blaming Israel for it. These people are fighting for something they don't know.. if they'd just chill out, they could go play in Israel and be done with it. Yeah, they wouldn't have control but they could be there. Then again, they don't like the Jews being there at all. It's going to be a no win ever.
How about Ariel Sharon, leader of Israel? Muhammad Abbas of the Palestinian Authority? Ringing any bells?
All the bloodshed, pulling out of Gaza in late summer..Jewish people.. Iran calling on the destruction of Israel or formation somewhere else like the EU, US or Canada? Iran claiming the Holocaust never happened?
Anything? Bells.. maybe a little ringing in the ear..
And to be honest, it's not just you, but also some horney bastards that get all excited over a couple of ascii characters, supposedly written by a member of the opposite sex.
you're right I do derail most threads, but not for lack of having an opinion.....just because anything I would have said had already been said and there's no point in me repeating it, and also because the thread has died and (like a regular flow of conversation) we must switch topics to keep it going.
I can't help the others in here.....I've made the rules for myself and tried to enforce them. I can't help that most of the ppl in here are computer nerds that have only talked to a woman face-to-face when asking for ketchup with their fries......and even that is painfully ackward for them. Horny or not, that's what they want to talk about and me posting here or not isn't going to change that fact.
S'ok to joke around too though Biggie....I think you might have forgotten that the reason you post in the Others is to have fun.....where's the fun in complaining?
Please don't take offence to this post or get upset for constructive critisism.....I still think you're a blast to talk to and I like posting with you.
And to be honest, it's not just you, but also some horney bastards that get all excited over a couple of ascii characters, supposedly written by a member of the opposite sex.
*sighs*
WTF is that?? How dare you speak of me that way! I can't believe you called me horney! WTF is this world coming to?
I just like to see some balance in the fun (serious debate vs immature joking around) and in the amount everybody here takes his or her shot at participating.
I see quite a number of regulars drifting away, and I see a decrease in serious debate. I think that's a pity.
it get's like this over the holidays because everyone is stressed out for some reason or another and no one wants to think about serious things.....trust me, it happens......everything will get back to 'normal' soon. Just hang in there lil buddy.
I have no opposition to debate. I just think that too many people her fall out too easily when being confronted with opinions other that their own. Understanding the difference between the voicing of an opinion and being told you're wrong is something I think a lot of people need to work on. The same goes for voicing of an opinion and telling someone they're wrong. I seldom get involved with any debates for those very reasons. Don't get me wrong, I can assure you I am far from afraid to speak my mind.
All of this is a matter of fact, anyone claiming different is stupid.
